About this drama
Elena Blanco, a top sommelier, is framed by her fiancé Sebastián, who alters her tasting score to save his winery. Her license is revoked, and she flees to a tiny Kansas town, opening a tasting room in an old garage. There, she teaches blue-collar workers to appreciate wine, rebuilding her life. With hidden evidence, she exposes Sebastián’s fraud, leading to his imprisonment. She declines to return to the elite wine world, instead founding a People’s Sommelier Academy for ordinary people. Over decades, she mentors students, grows a vineyard, and finds peace. Her former partner eventually dies in prison, and her closest friend Bill passes away, but she cherishes their last bottle. At age eighty-two, she reflects that the last glass is always the best, and life continues with new vintages and new learners.
