Zoe, a moving worker, uncovers a box of unmailed 1950s–60s love letters from Thomas to Evelyn in an abandoned old house. Refusing to discard them, she tracks down Evelyn’s sister Margaret at a senior apartment and learns their tragic story: Evelyn’s father split the pair, intercepting all letters. Evelyn waited three years, remarried and died of lung cancer last year, unaware Thomas loved her lifelong. Zoe teams up with documentary filmmaker Susan, finding Thomas’s brother Frank and Evelyn’s daughter Katherine. The touching tale goes viral, inspiring Zoe to build the Forgotten Love Letter Archive, helping strangers reunite lost love stories via volunteers and exhibitions. Along the way, Margaret and Frank pass away, yet their spirits linger in Zoe’s mission. After expanding the archive overseas, Zoe finally lets go of her own unshared secret letter, embracing her life’s purpose: giving silent, forgotten love a proper ending.
