About this drama
Evelyn, a girl born with six fingers on her left hand, is sold by her greedy stepmother to care for Leonard, a severely wounded colonel. Villagers spread rumours that the colonel is cruel and brutal. She discovers her left hand holds healing powers, and Leonard, a kind man, defends her. Gradually, the whole family accepts her. Later, Leonard develops a life-threatening high fever, and a renowned physician insists on amputating his leg. Evelyn wagers three hours to save him using medicinal herbs and her gift. Just as the deadline nears and everyone sinks into despair, Leonard shows signs of recovery.
